Job of the week!


This week’s job is a semi permanent casual position
You would be working for a Labour hire company whose office is at
Arndell Park the job is in Padstow

You will be working in Technology in one of several environments

Pace Job (Pay TV set top box)
Test Station Operator – role is to inspect reworked product basic power on functionality
 Plug a power cord into the device power socket
 Plug in an antenna cable into the device
 Plug in a TV, video and sound cable into the device
 Power up the unit and insert smart card
 Using the remote control select several different TV channels
 Monitor the TV, check the picture and sound to ensure correct operation
 Pass the device onto the next stage if above test pass, call the supervisor if the above test fails.

Skills required
 Competent in handling consumer TV’s and set top boxes weighing 3kgs
 Competent in installing cables as per above
 Competent in the use of remote controls
 Detailed in observation or minor defects on TV screen picture and ability to listen for sound distortion
 Flexible and keenness to achieve results and targets
