I got this from you guest it?

King Arthur and the Witch:

.

.Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a

.neighbouring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by

.Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long

.as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to

.figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer, he

.would

.be put to death.

.

.The question?....What do women really want? Such a question would perplex

.even the most knowledgeable man, and to young Arthur, it seemed an

.impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the

.monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end.

.

.He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: the princess, the

.priests, the wise men and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone,

.but

.no one could give him a satisfactory answer.

.

.Many people advised him to consult the old witch, for only she would have

.the answer.

.

.But the price would be high; as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom

.for the exorbitant prices she charged.

.

.The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to

.the

.witch. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her

.price first.

.

.The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the Knights

.of

.the Round Table and Arthur's closest friend!

.

.Young Arthur was horrified. She was hunchbacked and hideous, had only one

.tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never

.encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life.

.

.He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible

.burden; but Lancelot, learning of the proposal, spoke with Arthur.

.

.He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life and

.the

.preservation of the Round Table.

.

.Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered Arthur's question

.thus:

.

.What a woman really wants, she answered....is to be in charge of her own

.life.

.

.Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great

.truth and that Arthur's life would be spared.

.

.And so it was, the neighbouring monarch granted Arthur his freedom and

.Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding.

.

.The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific

.experience, entered the bedroom. But, what a sight awaited him. The most

.beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed. The astounded

.Lancelot asked what had happened

.

.The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared

.as a witch, she would henceforth, be her horrible deformed self only half

.the time and the beautiful maiden the other half.

.

.Which would he prefer? Beautiful during the day....or night?

.

.Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day, a beautiful woman to

.show

.off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old

.witch? Or, would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day, but by

.night, a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous intimate moments?

.

.What would YOU do?

.

.What Lancelot chose is below. BUT....make YOUR choice before you scroll

.Noble Lancelot said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself.

.

.Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time

.because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own

.life.

.

How did you do it?

For me it was 23 years ago, we had gone to the movies. We went to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and we were talking about the future. When I asked Vera, I do of more romantic askings. One of my friend’s sons had his brother bring his now wife’s horse to their favourite picnic spot so everything could be just right.

I didn’t have time to plan like these two it was our first date.

What about this

YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATHEMATICS

Just for some fun!!!

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!

It takes less than a minute .
Work this out as you read ...
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10).

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold).

3. Add 5.

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator .

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1756 .
If you haven't, add 1755.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number.

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are ....

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2006) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS

Of -Note Being a Man’s Man for God – Lachlan Laing

There are lots of very confusing things around these days. What with “political correctness”, S.N.A.G.ism, and then there are the gender agendas, to name a few…

Being a bloke is not an easy thing. We should be aware all these things. I was talking with a friend yesterday over coffee. Even that doesn’t sound that manly, does it!? Anyway, we got talking about the increasing feminisation of the church!

Now there is a scripture in Galatians which says, Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love [Galatians 5:2-6].

Now many in Galatia worshiped a hideous god (Cybele), and the highest act of worship for a bloke was to emasculate himself! They literally cut off all their reproductive organs!

The context of what Paul is saying here has real meaning to his readers for sure! He is saying, if you don’t stand up to these false teachers, you are effectively emasculating yourself.

So what does this mean? For us, today? What is it the church is called for? What are we really meant to be doing?

We can rightly apply it to winning the lost - or being productive, or reproductive, if you like.

If we look at it, our maleness has to do with reproductive-ness If we feminize the church we are taking away the very thing we are called to. “Be fruitful and multiply”!

Have you noticed over the last 20 years or so,

  • Families are generally much smaller?
  • Women have a greater say in things? This is not anti women some of what they bring is very good.

Like so many things in church life we take something and replace what was there instead of what I believe was God’s true intention. Which is that we add to what He is doing

After my coffee, I was driving home, and I often take time to pray and think about things in the car when no one is with me.

In Old Testament times the males had many wives! This is something I have often wondered about - until yesterday. It struck me that males contain the “channel” of reproduction. Women have the babies, yes. Women do the nurturing; women do the running of the home-type of things. But, it’s men who contain the “seed” capacity to grow, multiply their kind.

In those times they had huge families; David was the 8th son; Solomon was the 6th son - not to mention daughters!

Today there has been a change in society large families are no longer the norm. In many cases it is the non-white Australians that are having large families. It is not unusual for Islanders and Arab families to have 5+ kids while we typically have 2 or 3.

Yes I have had more so I can claim a little of this reproductive thing! But, as a member of God’s church, what am I saying? Just this - our enemy is not happy with us being Christians, but he especially doesn’t want us to be involved in reaching anyone else…

It is us males who should take the lead in these things; often it is left to the females to do these things in the Church. If we males keep abdicating our responsibility, where will the church be in the next generation?

Men, it is time to stand up and take it up to the enemy; get on our knees and fight this fight in the Name of Him who shed His blood for us.

We can embrace change but I believe what is truly necessary is not change but addition. We need to make room for more revelation on these things.

Some of what is coming this not good; we need to discern what is good, and what is not good.

The not good is a trap that we don’t want to fall in.

In1 Samuel 1 is the story of a Hannah who got angry for her situation and did what we all should do with our anger… She focused on the one who could do something about her situation. She went into God’s presence to seek Him about her barrenness. He heard her prayer, and she was given Samuel (He rescued Israel from the enemy and led the people for many years, taking them into a new era!)

What are we going to do?
